Photographic equipment is a rapidly evolving industry and hardly a week goes by these days without some new, improved, and more functional gadget, device, camera or lens being released, complete with the manufacturers eloquent advertorial overtures on why we need to purchase it right away and add to our ever growing arsenal of camera equipment. It’s easy to be persuaded too, admit it, camera gear is sexy, highly desirable and ever more powerful. I’m no different from the next person when it comes to that, and am frequently tempted by the latest and greatest. Camera technology is evolving at such a significant pace that what we considered revolutionary just a couple of years ago is rather passé today. Who know where it will end?
That aside I’m pretty happy with my current batch of camera gear, I only wish I’d had a camera this good several years ago, but what camera enthusiast couldn’t do with yet another lens? If only I could afford them!
